Aamir Khan is like Maggi Tomato Ketchup, he’s different !! While entertainment is definitely in his scheme of things for his fans; but somewhere after spending 30 yrs in the film industry his movies off late are not just limited to entertainment. I feel that he wants to contribute something to the society, for the youth and especially the children. Be it movie like 3 Idiots where he wants to pass on the message on how our educational system needs to be relooked and revamped, or a movie like Taare Zameen Par where he wants to pass the message that there should be no special school or segregation of students. Every child has a hidden talent and are equal or a great story like Dangal where he shows that Girls are no less powerful mentally or physically then boys. In SECRET SUPERSTAR too he has played a very cameo role sometimes emotional, his timings are bang on and he superbly tickles your funny bones. And one thing predominantly reflecting in his movies are that though he holds the superstar stature he is not looking at screen presence, he is not looking at stories revolving around him as the hero; he may be in a cameo role for 30mins or maybe he makes his entry only post interval all these are trivial and non significant for Aamir KHAN the Super(fabulous)STAR.

The movie is about a very fundamental concept i.e “Dream dekhna toh Basic hota hai”. Every human being should have the basic freedom to dream. This musical, emotional and motivational movie is about a girl Insiya Malik (her mother fondly calls her “Insu”) from a middle class orthodox and conservative family who aspires and dreams to become a singer. She wants the whole world to hear her voice and be famous. She has no support from her father because of which she is not able to learn music, she has no money, she has no freedom, over and above being from a small city no support network. But she has 2 important things by her side; one is support from her Mother who believes that no matter from which place they belong to or under what circumstances they live her daughter must do what she likes and is passionate about. And secondly and most significant Insu has a “Dream”. As A P J Kalam rightly said, “Dream is not what you see in sleep, it is the thing which doesn’t let you sleep.”

There is an inspiring dialogue in the movie where Aamir describes talented kids are like the bubbles inside a Soda, they come up on their own and no one can stop them. Zaira Wasim with a mentor like Aamir is doing a fabulous job, she is natural spontaneous and God Gifted actress. Music by Amit Trivedi is just fantabulous.

The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers, but above all the world needs dreamers who do!! Go and Watch it as you never know you may rekindle a spark, a superstar in your own house.
